Before taking the role of CEO, Renee served as the company’s EVP and General Counsel. Prior to UnitedLex, Renee built a career simplifying complicated legal issues into operational solutions for both start-ups and global Fortune 500 companies. She started her career as a litigation associate at Hughes & Luce (now KL Gates) and then joined Dell Technologies in 2006 as in-house counsel working across numerous disciplines, including Cybersecurity & Privacy, Litigation, eDiscovery, Contracts Management, and Legal Operations. 

Rajitha Boer

Chief Client Officer, UnitedLex

As Chief Client Officer, Raj focuses on global client growth and retention, especially in the European and Asia Pacific regions, and enhancing client experience. Leveraging a wealth of expertise in eDiscovery, IP, and Legal Managed Services, Raj leads UnitedLex’s enterprise sales and account management efforts. Before joining UnitedLex, Raj worked at Breakwater assisting with EMEA and APAC operations. In 2013, she founded Yerra Solutions, with the belief that consulting services consist of more than template-based solutions and billable hours, before eventually selling the company to Elevate in 2019. She began her career working with the law and IP departments of major international corporations for more than 17 years.

Sophie joined UnitedLex in April 2024 after serving as Head of IP for Haleon. She previously spent three decades in the pharmaceutical industry, as Head of Trade Marks for GSK and Sanofi. Recently, she relocated from London to the South West of France.

He has over 17 years of legal experience, providing IP strategy, protection, commercialisation and enforcement advice to a wide range of clients in many different sectors. 

Sue Bence

Sue is a solicitor and seasoned legal & financial services leader with extensive experience in M&A, growth, and operational transformation across listed, PE-backed, and partnership structures in both the UK and Australia. She has led multiple law-firm acquisitions and integrations, delivering cost savings, efficiency gains, and high-performing, tech-enabled service models and customer value propositions. A former COO of a PE-backed law firm, Sue specialises in growth strategies that blend operational excellence, cultural change, and innovation to create long-term value for clients, colleagues and investors. 

Ashley Winton 

Chairman, Data Protection Forum

Formerly a computer designer, Ashley has been a Data, AI and FinTech partner for over 25 years and has led teams at firms such as White & Case, Paul Hastings, Pillsbury and McDermott Will and Emery. Ashley advises on financial regulatory, encryption and export control, data protection, privacy and cyber security matters with particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, e-money, payment systems, and highly regulated platforms.

A graduate of Yale Law School, Jomaire combines deep litigation expertise with a forward-looking approach to leadership and operational delivery in corporate legal environments.

Anthony Kenny

Asst. General Counsel, GSK

Anthony Kenny is the Assistant General Counsel Corporate and CBS at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), based in London, UK. His role focuses on M&A transactions and corporate legal support for central business functions, including activities like bond issues and new bank account setups. Kenny began his legal career as a litigator at Hogan Lovells and has served in roles at BT, Deloitte Consulting, and Boston Consulting Group.  

Damian Murphy

Barrister, Trinity Chambers

Chris Fowler

Chief Operating Officer, Rio Tinto 

Chris Fowler is the Chief Operating Officer – Legal, Governance and Corporate Affairs (LGCA) at Rio Tinto plc and is responsible for managing the operations of LGCA globally. Chris joined Rio Tinto in February 2023 and prior to that he spent 24 years at BT Group plc including General Counsel for BT’s Technology division which builds and operates BT’s networks, its IT infrastructure and its research and development unit. Chris was also a Director of BT’s 50/50 joint venture MBNL Limited for two years.

Previously, he was General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Companjon, a high-growth insurtech backed by Mobiliar, where he built and scaled the legal and compliance function across Europe. Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Legal Technology & Innovation at Zurich Insurance, driving governance reforms and legal tech adoption. He brings a pragmatic, business-focused perspective on AI and trust in contracts. 

Alessandro Galtieri

Deputy General Counsel, Colt Technology Services

Alessandro is Deputy General Counsel, VP Corporate Law, and Group Data Protection Officer at Colt, a network and data centre services company active in more than 50 countries. He is an English, Irish, and Italian qualified lawyer, a Chartered Governance Professional (CGA/ACIS), a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E), a Chartered Manager Fellow (CMgr FCMI), and a ODI Certified Data Ethics Professional. Alessandro has completed the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, and is a member of Colt’s AI Oversight Committee and of UKAI (the UK AI trade association) Legal Working Group.

Henry is a Partner at venture capital fund Leo Capital.  He practised as a TMT lawyer at A&O and Bird & Bird before setting up the Singapore law practices of Taylor Vinters and PwC, where he sat on the network’s Global LegalTech Strategy Panel.   He later developed PwC NewLaw’s law firm advisory offering, focusing on developing data and tech enabled ways of working.  Henry was a Venture Partner for Octopus Ventures before joining Leo Capital and launching their European fund.  He is particularly interested in the impact of AI in law from a tech, talent and business model perspective.
