As EVP and General Counsel, Renee heads up the global legal function which includes commercial transactions, dispute resolution, compliance and privacy, and risk management for the company.
Before joining UnitedLex, Renee built a career simplifying complicated legal issues into business-enabling operational solutions in both start-ups and global Fortune 500 companies. She started her career as a litigation associate at Hughes & Luce (now KL Gates) and then joined Dell Technologies in 2006 as in-house counsel working across numerous disciplines, including Cybersecurity & Privacy, Litigation, eDiscovery, Contracts Management, and Legal Operations.
In 2017, she joined Cobra Legal Solutions (now Purpose Legal) as Chief Operating Officer and EVP of Legal, and after its successful sale, she joined Breakwater Solutions as Chief Operating Officer. In 2023, Renee launched PracticLaw where she provided General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer services to small and medium business and advised larger companies on global data privacy issues, data governance, and data security.
Renee received her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and achieved dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma in French & English Literature. She is a native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
