Cortney Nathanson Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications
Cortney Nathanson drives the global marketing and communications efforts for UnitedLex. Cortney’s laser focus on all aspects of marketing strategy allows her to build brand awareness, increase market share, create impactful thought leadership, and position UnitedLex as the pre-eminent legal services provider in the market.
Under Cortney’s direction, UnitedLex has garnered worldwide media attention through a targeted public relations program and received numerous industry awards for its involvement in clients’ strategic business initiatives. She launched the company’s new brand and website to reflect its long-standing culture of client service, innovation, trust, and transformation. Serving on the executive leadership team, Cortney often collaborates on company-wide initiatives, including UnitedLex’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand Ambassador programs.
Cortney brings more than two decades of experience leading marketing, communications, and business development efforts for professional services organizations, including four of the top Am Law 100 law firms. Before joining UnitedLex, she was the executive director of marketing for Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy LLP, a leading immigration law firm, where she oversaw the global pitches and pursuits, content, events, digital marketing, and public relations functions.
A speaker and author on various marketing-related topics, Cortney is an active member of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and recently served as treasurer of the international board of directors. She currently sits on the advisory board for the 2019 LMA Northeast Regional Conference.
Cortney earned her B.A. in communication from the University of Delaware and her M.B.A from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business.
