During two decades as a leading general counsel, Terry has been at the forefront of adopting new methods, technologies, and alternative approaches to addressing the legal needs of large corporations.
He currently serves as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of Fannie Mae. He oversees the Legal Department and Government and Industry Relations, additionally serving as a senior advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Terry joined Fannie Mae in 2019, following a general counsel role at CoreLogic, Inc. He served on the Management Committee, helping guide the company’s strategic and innovation initiatives, and also oversaw the compliance, information security, government relations, and enterprise risk functions.
Before CoreLogic, Terry served as general counsel to Morgan Stanley’s US residential mortgage business and to a NYSE-traded mortgage REIT.
He began his career as a corporate attorney at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and JD from Columbia Law School.
